Mögen alle Menschen in Birma werden glücklich, friedvoll und günstig in dieses neue Jahr!

In dieses neue Jahr, lasst uns uns wieder versprechen, gemeinsam machen Burma zu einem besseren Ort. Burma steht vor Herausforderungen, und wir müssen die konzertierten Bemühungen der alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger von Birma, um diesen Herausforderungen gerecht zu werden.

Das Jahr, das soeben zu Ende gegangenen war ein bedeutendes Jahr für Burma.

Für die positive Seite, die aktuelle herrschende Regime, den Dialog mit Daw Aung San Suu Kyi initiiert, änderte die Wahlgesetze ebnet Weg für NLD als offizielle politische Partei neu zu registrieren, einige politische Gefangene freigelassen, entschied Daw Aung San Suu Kyi und der NLD die Wahl geben und durch den Wahlen, ausgesetzt U Thein Sein Regime des umstrittenen Ayeyarwaddy Dämme, Friedensverhandlungen befasst sich mit den bewaffneten Gruppen und vorbei an einigen Gesetzen erlaubt demokratische Freiheit.

Auf der anderen Seite die Kämpfe zwischen Regierungstruppen und KIA ist noch im Gange in Kachin State, Auslandsschulden noch Last des Landes, ist Burma Wirtschaft nicht in guter Form kombiniert mit Armut, Korruption, Arbeitslosigkeit, Inflation und Wirtschaft Monopol und Vetternwirtschaft immer noch vorherrschenden rund um die Nation tief verwurzelt. People of Burma including democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi are calling for to review the Ayeyarwaddy Dam project due to the averse affect it will cause on Burma's environment, on Burma's bio-diversity and on Burma's future.

Lo Hsing Han and his son Steven Law (a) Tun Myint Naing run Asia World Ltd which currently has contracts to build MyitSone Dam on the Ayeyarwaddy River north of Myitgyinar. Ten more companies are owned under the group in Singapore by Law's wife, Cecilia Ng.

The Myitsone Dam site is located just 2 miles below the confluence and about 24 miles away from Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State.

The length of the dam is about 499 ft (152 m) and the height is about 499 ft, equivalent to the height of a 50-story building. The surface area of the reservoir is about 295.8 sq mi (766 sq km), about the size of New York City (301 sq mi).

A maximum water depth of the reservoir will be about 950 ft (290 m), approximately the height of a 66-story building. The estimated cost of the Myitsone Dam construction project is about US $3.6 billion.

The total cost for construction of the seven dams and hydroelectric development projects is about US $20 billion. The major construction contractor from the Chinese side is the China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CCGC), and from the Burmese regime side is Asia World Company.

It is strongly believed that Lo Hsing Han's business empire was originally built on narcotic-drug trafficking.

Starting as a local militia leader in the northern Kokang region in 1960, Lo Hsing Han was dubbed the "King of Opium" by US drug enforcement authorities in the 1970s because of large amount of heroin his alleged networks were sending through Thailand.

By 1994, his organization was widely considered among the most heavily armed drug trafficking organizations in Southeast Asia.

Golden Aaron, an Asia World subsidiary, has been linked to China.

Steven Law (a) Tun Myint Naing is the managing director of Golden Aaron, which has now been linked to CNOOC.

Both Lo Hsing Han and Steven Law have been on a US visa blacklist since 1996 for suspected drug trafficking activities.

In February 2008, they were also put on the Treasury Department's sanctions list, along with Asia World Company and subsidiaries Asia World Co Ltd, Asia World Port Management, Asia World Industries Ltd and Asia World Light Ltd for their financial connections to the regime.

Asia World Ltd, Burma's biggest and most diversified conglomerate with interests in industrial development, construction, transportation, import-export and a chain of local supermarkets. It is believed that he also controls several gold mines in Kachin State.

Tun Myint Naing also owns the Magwe United Football Club playing in the Myanmar National League (MNL).

Saving River Ayeyarwaddy is saving Burma and it is duties of all the people of Burma as well as the duties of man-kind to safe-guard the future of the world we are living in.

We also call for China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CCGC) and China's National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) to halt the ties with accused drug kin-pin of Burma.

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) strongly denounced the Irresponsible USDP Regime Failing to Save River Ayeyarwaddy

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) strongly denounced the USDP’s Electric Power Minister U Zaw Min’s irresponsible comment saying there is no plan to stop building the Ayeyarwaddy Dam instead the government is pledged to finish building it in the wake of widespread objections.

People of Burma including democracy leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi are calling for to review the Ayeyarwaddy Dam project due to the averse affect it will cause on Burma’s environment, on Burma’s bio-diversity and on Burma’s future.

Lo Hsing Han and his son Steven Law (a) Tun Myint Naing run Asia World Ltd which currently has contracts to build MyitSone Dam on the Ayeyarwaddy River north of Myitgyinar. Ten more companies are owned under the group in Singapore by Law's wife, Cecilia Ng.

The Myitsone Dam site is located just 2 miles below the confluence and about 24 miles away from Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State.

The length of the dam is about 499 ft (152 m) and the height is about 499 ft, equivalent to the height of a 50-story building. The surface area of the reservoir is about 295.8 sq mi (766 sq km), about the size of New York City (301 sq mi).

A maximum water depth of the reservoir will be about 950 ft (290 m), approximately the height of a 66-story building. The estimated cost of the Myitsone Dam construction project is about US $3.6 billion.

The total cost for construction of the seven dams and hydroelectric development projects is about US $20 billion. The major construction contractor from the Chinese side is the China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CCGC), and from the Burmese regime side is Asia World Company.

It is strongly believed that Lo Hsing Han's business empire was originally built on narcotic-drug trafficking.

Starting as a local militia leader in the northern Kokang region in 1960, Lo Hsing Han was dubbed the "King of Opium" by US drug enforcement authorities in the 1970s because of large amount of heroin his alleged networks were sending through Thailand.

By 1994, his organization was widely considered among the most heavily armed drug trafficking organizations in Southeast Asia.

Golden Aaron, an Asia World subsidiary, has been linked to China.

Steven Law (a) Tun Myint Naing is the managing director of Golden Aaron, which has now been linked to CNOOC.

Both Lo Hsing Han and Steven Law have been on a US visa blacklist since 1996 for suspected drug trafficking activities.

In February 2008, they were also put on the Treasury Department's sanctions list, along with Asia World Company and subsidiaries Asia World Co Ltd, Asia World Port Management, Asia World Industries Ltd and Asia World Light Ltd for their financial connections to the regime.

Asia World Ltd, Burma's biggest and most diversified conglomerate with interests in industrial development, construction, transportation, import-export and a chain of local supermarkets. It is believed that he also controls several gold mines in Kachin State.

Tun Myint Naing also owns the Magwe United Football Club playing in the Myanmar National League (MNL).

Saving River Ayeyarwaddy is saving Burma and it is duties of all the people of Burma as well as the duties of man-kind to safe-guard the future of the world we are living in.

Foreign scholars withdrew from a planned study meeting at the National League for Democracy (NLD) headquarters after pressure from the Burmese government, according to sources.
Win Htein, of the NLD, told The Irrawaddy that many scholars were very keen to come and meet the opposition party's leader Aung San Suu Kyi and train its members, but their planned visit had to be been canceled.
The group were due to lecture students at the Bayda Institute from June 6 to 25 before addressing NLD members from June 20 to 28, but now even the first session has been moved to pro-government NGO Myanmar Egress instead.
“I think Kyaw Yin Hlaing, who currently works in Hong Kong, is afraid the government will revoke his passport if he speaks to NLD members. If Kyaw Yin Hlaing came to visit the NLD he could get into trouble, but he should still take the risk to find out what the result would be,” said Win Htein.
Dr. Kyaw Yin Hlaing is director of Myanmar Egress and also assistant professor of the Department of Asian and International Studies at the City University of Hong Kong.
Myanmar Egress is controversial for being closely associated with individuals connected to the Burmese Chamber of Commerce, and Kyaw Yin Hlaing also supported last year's sham election in Burma.
Htike Zaw Oo, from Tavoy Township, Tenasserim Division, is studying at the Bayda Institute and says he feels cheated by the renowned foreign-based professors who have shunned the seat of learning.
“At first we were very happy that professors from foreign countries would be teaching us. We have been preparing for the training for nearly three months. But when the fixed date arrived they [professors] canceled these plans very easily,” said Htike Zaw Oo.
The NLD study course on “the principles of political science” was the first offered by the party for two decades and was scheduled to be taught by almost a dozen foreign scholars. Young NLD members from across Burma have already arrived in Rangoon to attended the session.
“The teachers did not arrive at the opening ceremony of the Badya Institute and it is hard for them to come to the NLD. Although they did not come to the opening of the Bayda Institute, they are still teaching at Myanmar Egress. It is like a balloon which has been pierced with a needle,” said Win Htein.
“We have been planning this tuition since March but Kyaw Yin Hlaing said on the phone that he cannot give the lecture because the government put pressure on him. The professors would be teaching at Myanmar Egress and Bayda at the same time,” said Myo Yan Naung Thein of Bayda Institute.
The Irrawaddy contacted Kyaw Yin Hlaing but he refused to comment.
Burmese scholars Kyaw Yin Hlaing, Tin Maung Maung Than and US attorney Thi Han Myo Nyun will all contribute to the training program.
They will be joined by foreign scholars Robert Taylor, Robert Gregory, Martin Painter, Mark Thompson, Federico Ferrara and Brad Williams from City University of Hong Kong; Michael Montesano from Singapore's Institute of South East Asia Study; Eric Thompson from the National University of Singapore; and N. Ganesan from the Hiroshima Peace Institute in Japan.

Tienduizenden burgers zijn gedwongen om hun huizen in vluchtelingenkampen eindigend ontvluchten terwijl anderen zijn gedwongen zich te verschuilen in de jungle als de ontheemden, ontheemden.

Hinter-grund Information

Militärregime hielt den allgemeinen Wahlen in 27. Mai 1990 als Ergebnis des Jahres 1988 Massenaufstand anspruchsvoll für den Wandel. Junta behauptet, dass sie über die Befugnis zur U Thein Sein übergeben führte USDP Regierung nach 2010 Schein Wahl. Die Leiden des birmanischen Volkes bleiben die gleichen. Die Macht ist immer noch auf die U Thein Sein Regime zentriert.

UN sollten geeignete Maßnahmen mit Schwerpunkt auf Platz Dialog führen zur Erreichung der nationalen Aussöhnung in Birma. Wir fordern die chinesische Regierung, die uns helfen die Herstellung von Frieden, Fortschritt und Wohlstand in Birma als guter Nachbar.

Wir fordern die chinesische Regierung zur Unterstützung fordern -

1. Gründung UN-Generalsekretär Vertreter Verbindungsbüro in Birma, um so als Vermittler wirken zwischen U Thein Sein geführt USDP Regierung und Aung San Suu Kyi geführte demokratischen und ethnischen Gruppen, so dass praktisch statt echten Dialog

2. Anstellungsbehörde Vollzeit Ständigen UN-Sondergesandten für Birma, die Durchführung seiner Aufgaben wird in einer sehr verantwortlicher Weise der Beurteilung der Situation in Birma genau und gibt gute Empfehlung bei der Formulierung von UN-Politik, dann wird der Generalsekretär der genauen Lage in Birma zu beurteilen

3. Die Annahme der Resolution Förderung der nationalen Aussöhnung in Birma

Wir fordern die chinesische Regierung auf, mehr auf die U Thein Sein Regime drücken, um den Dialog mit Aung San Suu Kyi in Kraft geführt demokratischen und Ethnien "Regierung von Birma.

Yangon, 6 april - Det var ingen havari når tjenestemenn uskadeliggjort en hånd-laget bombe funnet på murstein sete nær busstasjonen på Sule Pagoda veien sist søndag ettermiddag, ifølge det statlige aviser av denne morgenen er problemet sa.

"Etter undersøkelsen, er ovennevnte bombe detonert å briste i lyd i første fase og deretter å eksplodere på grunn av vibrasjoner fra telefonen ringe på avstand i den andre fasen,« avisene videre forklart.

Avisene ga også detaljer om poster knyttet til den tiden bombe, som tjenestemenn hadde deaktivert, som (a) Thai SIM-kort og en gammel Nokia håndsett, (b) 0,25 gallon UPG rød maling bokser, (C) White C4 sterke krutt 25 pounds, (d) En lyseblå farget plast sak uten dekning, (e) En kablet litiumbatteri, (f) Elektriske detonator med to ledninger og (g) 10-amp sikring.

"Destructive elementer og opprørere hjemme og i utlandet planlegger å gjøre stadige bombeangrep å undergrave rettssikkerheten og skape offentlig panikk," avisene belastes.

Dette er den første hendelsen etter at den nye regjeringen ble dannet 30. mars i år.

Youths, from civil society organizations, political parties, ethnic youths, worker youths, farmer youths have all decided to form a nationwide network, having met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the 28th December 2010 . And thus, National Youth Network, which represents all youths in Myanmar, was formed in accordance with the Leadership and guide line of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

National Youth Network, formed under the guidance and leadership of Democratic Leader and people leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, will work for flourishing of Democracy and Development as instructed and guided by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, National Youth Network will enthusiastically take part in the state building process by doing social, development, environmental and humanitarian works.

Any youth or any organization who accepts the guidance and leadership of people leader and democratic leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is automatically regarded as a member of National Youth Network. National Youth Network will work with the best of our ability for National Reconciliation as Daw Aung San Suu Kyi had set National reconciliation as a national mission.

National youth network was conceived on the 1st of January 2011, put into form on the 4th of January 2011 and came into life on 6th of January 2011. To celebrate the birthday of National Youth Network, youths in Yan gon division, Mandalay division, pegu division, Magway Division, Shan State, Rakhine State and Kayin Stae distributed foods to street children, books and stationary to poor students, nursed the aged and do plantation as an action of environmental awareness.

But some personally attacked Wae Hnin Pwint Thone, daughter of Mya Aye,88-student's leader together with us at Insein-prison for many years as the supporter on Musilim gangs and we are very sorry on their wicket personal attacking and we could get our independence on All Burma's national people's solidarity on Jan,4th,1948 and now,we shall have to get our second Burma's independence on second pinlone conference(21st,pinlone conference) on All Burma's national people's democratic solidarity(All Burma's nations-Ethinics,classes & stratas) and so,we shall have to avoid the un-necessity- group-struggles, All Burma's national people's conflicts & religional conflicts.
In this way,we should welcome our Burma's new future bright stars on Democracy,Human rights,National reconcilation & modern developments for our mother country together with global democratic forces.

realities in Burma

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) will hold the demonstration to commemorate the 63rd anniversary
of Burma’s Independence Day on 4th January 2011 (Tue) in front of the Burmese Embassy in UK in
order to call for the Burmese military regime to enter the genuine time-bound dialogue with Daw
Aung San Suu Kyi led Democratic and ethnics leaders so as to find the solution peacefully in Burma
and to call for to release all the political prisoners immediately and unconditionally.

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) believe that it will be the best solution for Burma so as to have
WIN / WIN solutions for all the parties concerned in order to have genuine national reconciliation in
Burma.

Even though Burma gained independence on 4th January 1948, Burmese people cannot enjoys the
true meaning of independence yet due to the oppression of the successive military dictatorships, due
to the civil wars and due to the corruptions and mismanagements of the successive ruling military
dictators.

Prodding Generals to Negotiating Table

In a program aired on Dec. 17, Aung San Suu Kyi urges Burma’s military rulers to join talks aimed at national reconciliation and discusses the future of Burmese youth both inside the country and abroad.

Q: The Burma Communist Party (BCP) was founded by General Aung San [Aung San Suu Kyi’s father] himself, who served as its secretary. This organization took a leading role in Burma’s independence movement, but had to go underground in 1948. You have said that you and the NLD are prepared to work together with any party or political organization to achieve democracy. Therefore I would like to know whether you are willing to work with the BCP and whether, after democracy is established, there is any intention of recognizing the BCP as a legal party.

A: At this time, when we are working for internal peace and reunification in our country, it is better to look forward toward the future than to look back to the past. So this is a time to work not just for one group or organization but for everyone, and for all groups and organizations. Therefore, I would like for all groups and organizations to think together about what they can do to help achieve national reconciliation.

When democracy is achieved and human rights have been fully restored, all of the groups and organizations will also gain their appropriate rights and privileges. This would apply not just to the Communist Party but to everyone. I would like to say that democracy and human rights will provide a more secure life for everyone.

Q: I am asking this question from Norway. With regard to the negotiations with the military for national reconciliation, I recall that you have said that there will not be a losing side and a winning side—but that both sides will come out as winners as a result of those talks. At this time, the military has complete control over power in the country. They also have a huge control over economic activities, and they rely on their power for the security of their daily lives. So if, as a result of these negotiations, they have to give up all of their power, or share their power, this would amount to a loss for them. How could one say that they would also be on the winning side?

A: I think that having dignity and a secure life is much better than holding on to power. That kind of a genuine secure life can be achieved only through a political solution. If everyone can agree, through negotiations and discussions, on national reconciliation, the people—including all military personnel—will be able to live a secure life. I do not believe that all of the people in the Tatmadaw [military] government are interested only in power. I think that there are also those who value dignity and living a secure life.

Q: How are you planning to successfully bring the military government to the dialogue table? I would also like to know how those of us who are living abroad can support and help you in your efforts to bring about national reconciliation. [The questioner is calling from London, and is the director of the rights group Burma Democratic Concern.]

A: To persuade the Tatmadaw government to come to the negotiation table, all of us must put our efforts together to make them understand that these talks are in everyone’s interests. Just as we are putting our efforts together, you must also put your efforts together. These negotiations are in everyone’s interest—they are for the whole country. Everyone must work together to make the Tatmadaw government understand that these talks are for the peace of mind, freedom, and secure life of all groups and organizations. All kinds of methods must be used, and I would like to say that we are also looking for new ways all of the time.

Q: Those of us who have watched the people in Burma struggle for many years to achieve democracy want to continue to support them. [The caller is a member of Australia’s parliament.] Would you advise us on ways to continue with our help to them? There are a lot of people in Australia who steadfastly support you and the people of Burma in their struggle for freedom. We heard you very clearly when you said, “Please use your freedom so that we can achieve ours.”

A: May I take this opportunity to say that we are thankful to all of our friends in Australia for the many years of help they have given us in our struggle for democracy in Burma. As to how you can help us more in our efforts: the emergence of an all-inclusive political process is very important at this time. Everyone abroad and in Burma must work together for the emergence of such a political process. So we would like all of our friends in Australia to also put their efforts together, using their own methods, so that the people governing Burma will clearly understand that an all-inclusive political process is needed for our country to really develop and genuinely get on the road toward democracy.

Q: I don’t really have a question, it is actually a request for the benefit of Burmese children and youth now living abroad. They learn about you in their social and political studies in school, and you are always on their minds. I think that they would be very happy if you could write and send some letters from Burma to all of these young people living abroad. Also, can you tell us how the young people of Burma can help and protect our country.

A: Establishing contact with our Burmese children abroad is something that I think about all the time. I would like to write to them. Also, if possible, I would like to get in touch with them on the Internet. I have been planning and making arrangements to do these things, and I hope that I can get in touch with the children of Burma directly. I would also like to ask all parents to encourage and help their children to be interested in Burma.

Q: I fled to Burma’s border while attending first-year classes for my Masters of Science degree. [The caller now lives in a refugee camp.] Now that you have been released from detention, what will you do to help students inside the country? Although there are universities in Burma, they are empty and have no practical equipment. Also, do you have plans to open more schools, computer classes, and English-language classes—not in Rangoon but in the districts and more remote areas that are hard to reach?

A: A foundation has been established with the money I received from my Nobel Prize and from other prizes, and we are helping Burmese students who live abroad through this foundation. But the help we can provide is limited by the foundation’s capabilities. We are trying to expand our activities as much as possible. As for the youth inside Burma, we cannot do as much as we would like, as our organization is a political organization. But we help as much as we can with the education of youth who have been in contact with the National League for Democracy, as well as with the families of political prisoners, and we will continue to do this. We have also arranged English-language and computer classes as much as we can. We will continue to do this as well.

On 27th,Dec,1989,I had to sadly hear Daw Khin Kyi's death at my office of National Politic Front(N.P.F),Thati Pahtan street,Kyaukmyaung,Tamawe tsp,Rangoon,Burma because she was the spouse of our national leader-General Aung Sann and mother too of Daw Aung Sann Su Kyi,our national people's leader & nobble peace prize winner in 1990 and mother too of BIA,BDA & BDF and she was very important person in our Burma's historical cretical point and so,we shall have to always remember for her historical acivity.
For it,I with CEC of N.P.F,Reg.No;120 organized the comittee of Funeral ceremony of Daw Khin Kyi and then we with other Parties went to see Daw Su with NLD to support her funeral ceremony and then we organized the central funeral ceremony of Daw Khin Kyi as chiarman-Bo Yet Htut(the member of 30-commarades),secretary-U Win Tin and C.E.C-I with Moe Thee Zun & others too and then also Army requested to hold it as the state funeral ceremony and also my frind-Ko Myat Hein(Ko Mya Win,MP of NLD,Engapu,Now,LA) with Min Ko Naing , Min Ze Yar & leaders of students' Unions approached to hold it as the people's funeral ceremony but although Daw Aung Sann Su Kyi accepted their supports for her funeral ceremony,she permitted to hold only our central funeral ceremony but General Saw Mg & Khin Nyunt of Army recepted the guests at Daw Aung Sann Su Kyi's campus and supported Ks-6000 with their state government's flower's ring and also Min Ko Naing,Min Ze Yar with leaders of student's Unions supported the long trip of funeral ceremony from Daw Su's campus to Kantawmin park behind ShweTiGone Pagoda.

When funeral ceremony day,I with CEC of N.P.F on our publica car with NPF's Flag had to take-cared of Daw Khin Kyi's status's car and so, we have to face the sea-ocean mass from Daw Su's campus to University Avenue to Hlaedam point to Pyi-road to U Wi Sa Ra road to ShweTiGone Pagoda road towards Daw Khin Kyi's cave between among the caves of ThaKhin Ko Taw Mhile,U Than & Su Phuyar Latt at KanTawMin Park and some students would like to pick up & hold the status of Daw Khin Kyi with the songs-"KaBarMaKyaeBu" as the people's feneral ceremony infront of Rangoon University as U Thant's funeral ceremony but Daw Su requested to hold peacefully her mother's funeral ceremony and then, while I with Daw Myint Myint Khin,CEC of NLD & Ambassodrs placed & waited for the status beside Daw Khin Kyi's cave,Army & students forced to hold it on the people's funeral ceremony & the state government's funeral ceremony and so, the prince U Htun Wae non-voilent-solved those problem and then,Daw Su,her sons-Aung Sann Myint(Alexendar),Htain Linn(Kim),her spouse-Michael Aelis,U Aung Sann Oo,U Khin Mg Aye warshiped & caved their mother's status with the programs of two religons and we with Ambassdors & other sea-ocean mass saluted peacefully the historical diganity of Daw Khin Kyi as our national people's mother and so, we could mean it as our all Burma's national people's mother's feneral ceremony.
But although her funeral ceremony was acknowledged by all Burma's national peoples as their mother, our national people's mother-Daw Khin Kyi had to face also the historical troubles
after her spouse-our national people's leader-General Aung Sann's death on 19th,July,1947 because our national leader-General Aung Sann,loved deeply her family with the boiling pea was voilent-assisnated by U Saw with his companians &others who could be unknown by historians because they could be hiden by their power & enrichs from killing of General Aung Sann & other national leaders.For example! Befor Assisnation of General Aung Sann,they with U Saw had meet to kill our national leaders at the house of chinese-boss and for it,Peagu-Boss-U Sein Win donated to assisnate our national leaders but now, U Sein Win with some secaped from death-sentence on the state-assisnation and some knew it but not to dare to talk it but the grand son-Ko D of Peagu-Boss-U Sein Win told us about it and so, we would like to consult historians to write darely our Burma's real history.
Daw Khin Kyi had to stay at his old poverty house with indian cmpanion after the end of her ambassdor's life from India and sometime,her house couldn't light & save roof and so, she boiled the pea,liked by General Aung Sann in the dark & under the unsaved roof and so,the carpenters & electrical workers of our Burma Dock Yards Corporation(B.D.C,Sinmalike) went to repair her house and at that moment,she told back her romantic & trajetty family life that she could stay warmly together with our Burma's national peoples in the dark age and her younger sister-Daw Khin Gyi had to stay at the small poverty house without spouse and so, we would like to mean them as the historical unfated victims and so,they would like to see the freedom from the historical fear under Myanmar Junta Regimes and they supported our democratic activits with many kinds of tactics & strategy and C.P.B tried to elect Daw Khin Kyi as National people's leader in 8888-all Burma's greatest democratic movement,50th,Annuel golden movement of 1300-full movement(1938) and also she accepted it but her health was not good and so, her daughter-Daw Aung Sann Su Kyi arrived to take-cared of her health and Daw Su had to take of the historical duty of her mother as the steel flower of the chief guarden mother-Daw Khin Kyi and so,Daw Su with us had to stay for several years at the dark prisons for freedom of Burma under Myanmar Junta Regimes but we shall never retreat from the democratic front and shall continnue to march strongly towards the democratic goal together with all Burma's national peoples on many kinds of tactics & strategy in global democratic net and so,we should support Daw Su's second PinLone Conference(21st,PinLone Conference) with All Burma's national people's democratic united movements.

Ivory Coast in political violence

The United States said it was in talks with Ivory Coast's neighbours about mustering UN reinforcements, and the World Bank said it had agreed with these West African capitals to halt loans to the regime.

The new pressure on Gbagbo came after UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warned Ivory Coast faces "a real risk of a return to civil war" unless Gbagbo stands down and hands power to his rival Alassane Ouattara.

Supporters of Alassane Ouattara, who has claimed to have won last month's presidential election, burn tires in a street in Abidjan on December 16. Supporters of would-be Ivory Coast president Ouattara urged world powers Wednesday to use military force to oust defiant strongman Laurent Gbagbo.
World Bank president Robert Zoellick said in Paris that he had agreed with the leaders of Ivory Coast's partners in the West African Economic and Monetary union that Abidjan be cut off from international funding.

"They are also convening a meeting of ministers this week to affirm and strengthen this approach," he said of the West Africans, after holding talks with France's President Nicolas Sarkozy.

"We are in discussions with other regional countries to see if there are ways in which we can reinforce the UN peacekeeping force," State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said in Washington.

Crowley said Washington was in talks with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and a diplomat in Abidjan confirmed a "military option" would be at the table at the bloc's crisis summit on Friday.

Ouattara's camp has welcomed international support, but his would-be prime minister, former rebel leader Guillaume Soro, had a stark message.

"After all the international pressure and the sanctions which did not have any effect on Mr Gbagbo, it's obvious that only one solution remains, that of force," Soro told France's i-Tele.

"I call on the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, the African Union and ECOWAS to envisage using force," he declared.

Every day now brings new international action against Gbagbo. On Wednesday, the European Union confirmed that visa bans had gone into effect against him and 18 close associates.

"The EU recalls that the result of the presidential election, in favour of President Alassane Ouattara, can neither be submitted to any form of evaluation nor be questioned," top EU diplomat Catherine Ashton said.

"On the contrary, it is important that transfer of power takes place without delay and without preconditions," she added.

The new measures reflect rising frustration at Gbagbo's refusal to step down in favour of his rival Ouattara, who also claims to have won last month's election and has been recognised as president by world powers.

The streets of Abidjan were lively, with traffic jams signalling the return to work for many after a month of crisis, but tensions remain high and former colonial power France urged its nationals to leave.

Many of the estimated 15,000 French expatriates have left for Christmas or to escape the mood of fear. Those who have not left should now depart "provisionally", French government spokesman Francois Baroin said.

Several other countries, including the United States, had already advised citizens to leave, and Nigeria said it was bringing out diplomats' families after a security incident at its embassy.

Gbagbo has deployed his armed forces to put down pro-Ouattara protests and to bottle up his adversary in the Golf Hotel, a luxury Abidjan resort protected by 800 UN peacekeeping troops.

"I am president of Ivory Coast. I thank the Ivorians who renewed their faith in me," Gbagbo declared late Tuesday, in a rare televised address.

The 65-year-old strongman accused the United Nations of "making war" on his people, and insisted French and UN peacekeepers would have to leave.

United Nations human rights and peacekeeping officials have accused Gbagbo's security forces of "massive human rights abuses" and are probing reports that he has hired Liberian mercenaries as death squads.

On Tuesday, Ban issued a plea on behalf of the troops in the United Nations 9,000-strong UNOCI peacekeeping mission, in particular those dug in around the Golf Hotel in Abidjan protecting Ouattara's besieged shadow government.

He warned the UN General Assembly that a "disruption of life-support supplies for the mission and the Golf Hotel will put our peacekeepers in a critical situation in the coming days."

North Korea 'ready for sacred war' with the South

North Korea is ready for a "sacred war of justice" using a nuclear deterrent, its armed forces minister has said.

Kim Yong-chun accused South Korea of making preparations for war by holding live-fire exercises near the border.

The drills are one of the largest in South Korea's history, involving tanks, helicopters and fighter planes.

North Korea shelled a Southern island last month killing four people - the first time Northern shells had killed civilians since the 1950-53 war.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has promised immediate retaliation to any further Northern attack.

The BBC's John Sudworth says people on the Korean peninsula are used to fiery rhetoric from Pyongyang, but as the tension escalates, the danger is that one side will feel forced to act on its threats.

Although the South has conducted 47 military drills this year, this is the largest winter live-fire exercise ever conducted on land.

There is no doubt that the verbal ante is being upped by both sides here at the moment.

I don't think we should read too much into it. It's the sort of thing we've heard from North Korea before. It's threatened to use its nuclear deterrent in the past.

But I think there will be people who worry that what's happening is that as each side lays down this conditional threat, a line is being drawn in the sand and it's tempting the other side to cross over it.

And the worry is that if you keep talking tough, both North and South Korea, eventually you may be forced to act on it.

During a meeting in the North Korean capital, Mr Kim, quoted by Pyongyang's Korean Central News Agency, accused the South of preparing for a new Korean War.

"The South Korean puppet forces perpetrated such grave military provocation as renewing their shelling against the DPRK [North Korea] during their recent exercises for a war of aggression in the West Sea [Yellow Sea] of Korea," he said.

"This indicates that the enemy's scenario for aggression aimed at the start of another Korean War, has reached the phase of its implementation."

"The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK are getting fully prepared to launch a sacred war of justice of Korean style based on the nuclear deterrent at anytime necessary to cope with the enemies' actions deliberately pushing the situation to the brink of a war," he added.

Despite possessing enough plutonium to create a bomb, the North is not thought to have succeeded in building a nuclear weapon.

Both China and Russia have called on the South to defuse tensions and US officials too are privately expressing their concern about Seoul's new, more aggressive stance.

South Korea and the US had already been conducting large-scale military exercises, following the apparent torpedoing of a South Korean warship by the North on 26 March, which killed 46 south Korean sailors.

Efforts to redirect the Korean issue back to the negotiating table have been unsuccessful.

China and the North say it is time to return to the six-nation talks about North Korea's nuclear programmes.

But the US, South Korea and Japan have said they will not return to such talks, which have previously involved rewards for the North if it cuts back on nuclear development.

North Korea walked out of the six-party talks in April 2009 and expelled UN nuclear inspectors from the country.

Aung San Suu Kyi, the recently released Burmese dissident, has become an international symbol of peaceful resistance in the face of oppression and human rights violations in Myanmar.

The 65-year-old has spent most of the last 20 years in some form of detention because of her efforts to bring democracy to military-ruled Burma.

In 1991, one year after her party, the National League for Democracy, won an overwhelming victory in an election the junta later nullified, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Now she talks to Al Jazeera about the country's future, the need for change, and why she believes that national reconciliation is the road Myanmar has to take to get the country out of the present state of economic stagnation and political unfreedom.

She speaks about democracy, development, a strong civil society, and the humanitarian situation in Myanmar - and how change and progress could be achieved.

To put the challenges facing Myanmar into global context we are joined by a distinguished panel of experts:

Helping us facilitate the dialogue is Maung Zarni, a Burmese dissident and an academic research fellow at the London School of Economis. His first-hand knowledge of Burma allows him to share his insights of armed conflicts, resistance, and the Burmese military.

Mary Kaldor is professor and co-director of Gobal Governance. She has written extensively on global civil society, how ordinary people organise to change the way their countries and global institutions are run.

Timothy Garton Ash is a historian, political commentator and regular colomnist for the UK newspaper The Guardian. He is professor of European studies at Oxford University. His main interest is civil resistance and the role of Europe and the old West in an increasingly western world. In 2000, Aung San Suu Kyi invited Professor Garton Ash to Burma to speak to members of her party, the National League for Democracy, about transitions to democracies.

New Delhi (Mizzima) – Two months since Cyclone Giri ripped through Burma’s western Arakan State, residents affected have received just 45 per cent of their basic humanitarian needs, the Rangoon branch of a UN aid office said. People are in “dire need of more permanent shelter” and “livelihood support”, a UN official added.
Although the devastated region had needed an estimated US$57 million, it had received just US$20.5 million, the report compiled by the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha) said on Monday.

Cyclone Giri hit the Arakanese coast on October 22, flattening villages in the worst-hit townships of Myebon, Pauktaw, Kyaukphyu and Manaung with winds gusting up to 160 mph (257 km/h), and killing at least 45 people. The Category Four storm affected 260,000 people and more than 100,000 were displaced, the report said.

Fifty-six per cent of schools, around 17,500 acres (7,000 hectares) of agricultural lands, nearly 50,000 acres of aquaculture ponds and more than 700 fishing boats were also destroyed in the cyclone, severely affecting residents’ livelihoods and causing problems with health care, education and other basic needs, it said.

The report also urged international donors to provide humanitarian relief for the cyclone victims.

Committee Representing People’s Parliament (CRPP) secretary and Arakan League for Democracy joint general secretary Aye Tha Aung arrived in the cyclone-affected area today to offer support and report on the situation.

“I went to many villages. Their houses don’t have roofs. Some villages have foods for just one or two days. Some villages have already run out of food,” he said.

A resident in Ngayapwakkyaing Village in the Pauktaw told Mizzima that although the UN and social organisations had given them humanitarian relief, they were without their main means of self-support.

“Currently, we are not worried about food as donors gave rice, oil and beans to us. But our fishing boats and gear were destroyed, so we can’t go fishing. The villagers have been jobless,” the resident said.

The World Food Programme (WFP), National League for Democracy (NLD) and CRPP donated food including rice to the cyclone victims in villages within Pauktaw, Myebon and Kyaukphyu townships. Pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has also donated 10 million kyat (about US$10,000) to the victims.

“The WFP and CRPP came here to donate rice. If we need it, they will help to dig a well in our village,” the resident said.

The UN children’s welfare organisation, Unicef, supported the provision of 100 temporary learning spaces by the local Parents and Teachers Association in the four affected townships and provided school kits to 7,000 children, the Ocha report said.

The Ngayapwakkyaing resident said, “My village does not have a school so we paid teachers to teach our children just to be literate. But we are jobless so we can’t pay the teachers so our children can’t receive [a proper] education.”

According to a statement on Monday from the UN Country Team in Burma, UN officials, led by the UN Resident and Humanitarian Co-ordinator for Burma Bishow Parajuli, travelled last week to several villages in Sittwe and Myebon townships in Arakan State to witness relief and recovery efforts. The delegation briefed international donors on Monday about the visit.

“Humanitarian emergency assistance is forthcoming, and people are slowly starting to rebuild their communities with what little they have left and the aid they are receiving. The resilience of the affected people has been remarkable,” the statement said, quoting Parajuli after his return to Rangoon.

He was accompanied by the representative for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the WFP country director and the Rangoon Ocha chief.

The delegation met government officials and staff from UN agencies and international and local NGOs based in Sittwe, the state capital, and Myebon, where the most severe damage had occurred. The three-day mission also brought the delegation to the villages of Minchaung and Shintaung in Myebon and Byinethit in Pauktaw.

“The destruction in these villages has been massive. Up to 70-80 per cent of all houses were completely destroyed and schools and health facilities are severely damaged. People now rely on various emergency supplies, which are distributed widely to the worst-hit areas by the government, international and local NGOs and UN agencies,” Parajuli said in the statement.

“But people are in dire need of more permanent shelter structures and livelihood support,” he said.

The statement said the main gaps in funding were in “early recovery shelter and livelihood support”. It said on Monday, US$20.5 million had been allocated from donors in response to Giri damage, including US$6 million from the UN Central Emergency Response Fund.

The overall funding needs for all sectors for both emergency and early recovery were estimated at US$57 million and the humanitarian community in Burma welcomed continued international funding support, it said.

The European Commission (EC) told Voice of America yesterday it had allocated almost US$4 million in humanitarian relief for Giri victims. In the statement delivered in Thailand, the commission said another US$5 million had been allocated to help victims of recent storms in Vietnam and the Philippines.

Regional EC envoy David Lipman said the contribution showed Europe’s commitment to help those most vulnerable and needy in Burma.

Australia early last month donated US$3 million in assistance to help affected communities and families recover from this disaster and provide essential food, shelter, clean water and sanitation, Ocha said late last month.

Britain, Denmark, Japan and the United States have also made donations.

More Land in Arakan State Confiscated for Railway

More residents in Burma's western Arakan (Rakhine) State suffer as their farm land and plantations have been confiscated or damaged due to a railway project in the area, according to local sources.

“Apart from receiving no compensation, we weren't even informed that our lands were confiscated. Some rubber plantations located along the railway were also destroyed,” a resident in the construction area told The Irrawaddy. He said about two acres of his land were confiscated and part of his rubber plantation was destroyed.

Local residents said that the authorities had confiscated more than 1,000 acres of land between Mrauk U and Kyauk Taw townships, which are on the projected Sittwe-Ann-Minbu railway line.

Last month, several ancient temples and cultural heritage sites in Mrauk U Township were damaged or destroyed because they were located on the planned railway route, according to local residents.

“By building this railway, the military regime is launching a psychological offensive against local people, rather than developing our area. It has destroyed what the locals value one by one, and it does as it wants,” said a Mrauk U resident.

He said the construction of the railway on ancient cultural land in Mrauk U began on Nov. 7. Authorities later altered sections of the route because of repeated objections from local residents.

The route is now affecting land around the Arakan State's most ancient city of Dannyawaddy, he said.

A resident of Kyauk Taw told The Irrawaddy that a dispute broke out recently between the army and Myanma Railway officials after an earth excavator that was used in the railway construction work between Kyauk Taw and Mrauk U damaged underground cables connecting local army posts.

“A battalion commander ordered them to stop the construction work immediately after their property was damaged,” he said.

The order came from the commander of Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 377 on Dec. 17. LIBs 377, 378 and 540 are based in the area, he said.

According to residents of Sittwe, the capital of Arakan State, the regime has been working on the railway line in Arakan State since 2009. Several sections have been completed, they said, but some completed sections, especially in the Sittwe area, frequently need to be repaired.

The Sittwe-Ann-Minbu railway is scheduled to be part of the regime's nationwide railway network.

Leaked memos highlight Burma fears

Washington has suspected for years that Burma has a secret nuclear program supported by North Korea, with witnesses reporting suspicious activity as far back as 2004, leaked memos show.

One cable from the US embassy in Rangoon, dated August of that year and released on Thursday by the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks, quoted an unidentified source as saying he saw about 300 North Koreans working at an underground site.

'The North Koreans, aided by Burmese workers, are constructing a concrete-reinforced underground facility that is 500 feet (152 metres) from the top of the cave to the top of the hill above',' according to the cable.

'The North Koreans are said to be assembling missiles of unknown origin,' it said, adding that the report alone should not been taken as definitive proof or evidence of sizeable North Korean military involvement with the Burmese regime.

Another memo, also dated 2004, quoted a foreign businessman as saying he had seen a reinforced steel bar, larger than for just a factory project, being unloaded from a barge in the same area in west-central Magway Division.

The cable said the source had volunteered to an US Embassy Officer that he had heard rumours that a nuclear reactor was being built near the town of Minbu.

It said that while there was no direct evidence of cooperation between Burma's generals and Pyongyang, there were increasing reports of alleged sightings of North Korean 'technicians' inside the Southeast Asian nation.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned in July 2009 about possible nuclear links between Burma and North Korea, and earlier this year she said a ship from Pyongyang had delivered military equipment to Burma.

Burma's junta -- which recently held a widely criticised election seen as prolonging military rule -- has dismissed reports of its nuclear intentions and brushed aside Western concerns about possible cooperation with North Korea.

A UN report released last month alleged North Korea is supplying banned nuclear and ballistic equipment to Burma as well as Iran and Syria.

And a June documentary by the Norwegian-based news group Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) said Burma was trying to develop nuclear weapons, citing a senior army defector and years of 'top secret material'.

The DVB documentary gathered thousands of photos and defector testimony, some regarding Burma's network of secret underground bunkers and tunnels, which were allegedly built with the help of North Korean expertise.

Robert Kelley, a former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who inspected the files smuggled out of Burma by Sai Thein Win, said in October evidence indicated 'a clandestine nuclear program' was under way.

'This is not a well-developed program. I don't think it's going very well,' he said at the time.

'But if another country steps in and has all of the knowledge, the materials, and maybe the key to some of the things that are plaguing them, including bad management, this program could really speed up.'

Kelley said North Korea was 'certainly the country I have in mind'.

According to another cable from 2009, a well-placed source in the Burmese government said General Thura Shwe Mann had visited North Korea in 2008.

But the source backtracked later, insisting the talks were only exploratory.

The leaked memos also suggest that key backer China was fed up with the 'foot-dragging' of Burma's military junta on reform and feared the ruling generals could no longer

protect its interests in the country.

'The Chinese can no longer rely on the generals to protect their interests here, and recognise the need to broker some solution that keeps the peace,' according to a US cable

dated January 2008.

Bo Gyoke (General) Aung San, Architect of Burma National Independence, ist der Vater der einzige nationale Birma Führer, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Geboren am 13. Februar 1915, Bo Aung San Gyoke erfolgreich die Burma Independence Movement. Faschistische Revolution wurden in 1945 in Burma brach unter Führung von General Aung San und 1945 war auch der Wendepunkt in der politischen Landschaft Burmas. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg die Briten wieder auf die birmanische Boden als Sieger in den Krieg eintraten. Der Krieg hatte die britische Politik zu Hause und Kolonien verändert, wie Burma, wurden für insgesamt Unabhängigkeit fordern. Antifaschistischer Burma Nationalist Gruppenleiter Gyoke Bo Aung San war sehr beliebt bei den birmanischen Volkes und er wurde ein viel versprechender Chef so jung wie im Alter von 30 Jahren.

Nicht viele Birmanen heute erinnern kann, und denke an Bogyoke Aung San und spiegeln seine Philosophie und Herangehensweise an Burmas Freiheit und Einheit. Besonders in der Zeit der aktuellen politischen Krise Burma heute, viele in großer Zahl haben vergessen, wer er war und was er stand.

Aber warum so viele von uns nicht bekommen seine politische Philosophie und seine Prinzipien? Haben wir nur zuhören, aber nicht gehört sie? Oder wir lesen, aber nicht verstanden haben? Oder haben wir habe selektiven Erinnerungen an sie?

Er widmete sein Leben dem Kampf für politische Freiheit von der britischen und auch für die Einheit in der Union of Burma. Zur gleichen Zeit war er auch zu geistiger Verbesserung und Wertsteigerung gewidmet. Er äußerte oft über seine Reisen auf der Suche nach Wahrheit und Vollkommenheit und seine bewußte Streben nach Aufrichtigkeit und Reinheit in Gedanken, Worten und Taten. Die Menschen in Birma gesehen und erlebt seine geistige Verfeinerung und Verbesserung in der Form seiner Absicht, gereinigt und reine Liebe des Landes.

Während des Kampfes für Freiheit in Burma, äußerte er oft seine Sorgen über die geistliche "schwarzes Loch" zwischen den birmanischen Jugend in dieser Zeit und seine Befürchtungen, dass "wenn wir uns auf die Schiene Flut standhalten ... wir bald spirituellen Bankrotteure werden .."

Seine Hingabe an die geistige und Verbesserung der Politik und der Einheit in Burma, ohne Zweifel, viele Menschen inspiriert, einschließlich seiner eigenen Tochter Aung Kyi Sann (DASSK).

Wir haben einige Oppositionspolitiker sehen ihre politische Parteien registriert. Sie haben die Wahl unfair und ungerecht Gesetze und Verfahren, die ekelhaften unsere menschliche Gewissen und Geist sind eingereicht. Wir haben gesehen, wie sie übergeben ihre Seelen an den brutalsten Regime der Welt jemals haben werden.

Auch Ausländer und ihre Regierungen, insbesondere die Regierung der Vereinigten Staaten, uns auf das Regime ausüben, haben applaudiert den moralischen Mut der DASSK und der Nationalen Liga für Demokratie (NLD) und ihrer politischen Widerstands der ungerechten Gesetzen und unfairen Prozess. Sie haben auch erklärt, dass "die Regelung gewählt hat, um vor einseitig zu bewegen" und folgerte, dass "diese Wahlen mangelnde internationale Legitimität". Sie riefen "das Regime auf, unverzüglich Schritte zu ergreifen, um den Prozess in der verbleibenden Zeit vor Wahlen" zu öffnen.

Aber unsere eigenen Widersprüche haben ihren Rücken, ihre inneren Gefühl dafür, was richtig oder falsch in das Regime führt gedreht. Sie haben registriert und viele mehr sind die Registrierung zur Teilnahme an den Wahlen, dass sowohl inländische als auch internationale Legitimitäten Mangel zu nehmen. Füttern Sie sind die Übel Verlängerung ihres bösen Schrecken in Burma.

Mahatma Gandhi war richtig. "Der Mensch verliert seine Freiheit durch seine eigene Schwäche." Es ist nicht so sehr das Regime Waffen, die für das Versagen unseres Kampfes in Burma sind, sondern die schwache und feige Oppositionspolitiker. Denn Menschen wie ihnen verloren wir unsere Freiheit zu teuer das Militärregime in 1962. Wir haben auch unsere nationale Würde in die Welt seitdem verschollen.

Wir wollen nicht, dass die Geschichte zu wiederholen. DASSK und die NLD durch diese gedacht haben. Konsequent hat sie uns daran erinnert uns der Reform, weil sie versteht, dass, wenn wir uns selbst und unsere birmanischen Geister Reform kann, die Politik in Burma weiterhin die Macht der Regel werden die mächtigen über die Schwachen und Feiglinge.

Die größte moralische Herausforderung unserer Generation ist da. Es ist Zeit für uns zu beachten und in die Aktionen dieser Meldungen und die unserer Gründungsväter Bogyoke Aung San und unsere Vorväter und.

Global Action for Burma (GAB) fordert die Europäische Union (EU) auf den nächsten Schritt, der stärker werden EU steht fest auf dem Standpunkt, dass es nicht zu erkennen Junta Jahr 2010 anberaumte Wahl & seine Ergebnisse sollten.

Wir begrüßen EU-Resolution zu Birma, aber wir wollen Taten sehen. Jetzt ist die Zeit sehr wichtig für Birma. Wir wollen, dass die EU zu wissen, dass sie müssen realistisch sein im Umgang mit Junta.

Die internationale Gemeinschaft einschließlich der EU wurde gefordert Junta auf, den Dialog mit Daw Aung San Suu Kyi geführten demokratischen Fraktionen geben.

Kürzlich in Burma, Serie von Bomben explodierten in Rangun (Rangoon Division, die sich im südlichen Teil von Birma gelegen), in Myitgyinar (Kachin Sate welches im nördlichen Teil von Burma entfernt) und jetzt in Kyaugtaw (Arakan Staat, der sich in den westlichen entfernt Part of Burma) Tag nach dem anderen.

Die Menschen glauben, dass die Junta ist die Einrichtung der Pre-Text an politischen Dissidenten zu verhaften. Die Leute glauben auch, dass die Junta selbst zuständig ist für solche terroristischen Akte.

Seit Junta plant, die Vitrine Wahlen im Jahr 2010 in Übereinstimmung mit den 2008 zur Verfassung, die Militärherrschaft in Burma zu legitimieren, um bis 1990 Wahlergebnis in denen Aung San Suu Kyi geführte Nationale Liga für Demokratie (NLD) gewann zunichte gemacht wird halten den Erdrutschsieg.

Am 29. März 2010, Aung San Suu Kyis Partei NLD erklärt, dass sie Boykott Junta geplanten Wahlen 2010 schein, die tatsächlich dem Senden der sehr starke Botschaft an die Welt, dass die Junta's Jahr 2010 anberaumte Wahl Spiel nicht glaubwürdig ist.

Nun, die Leute glauben, dass die Junta begeht die grauenhaften Verbrechen Tötung unschuldiger Menschen durch die Explosion der Serie von Bomben im ganzen Land (mit Ausnahme von Nay-Pyi-Taw wo Than Shwe basiert). Es ist klar hervorgeht, dass die Junta wird tun, was sie an die Macht klammern dauert.

Dies ist die Zeit, dass die globale Gemeinschaft sollte kündigen Staatsterroristen von Birma, SPDC Militärregime denen Tausende von unschuldigen Menschen tötet, während ihrer Schreckensherrschaft.

Birma Demokratischen Concern (BDC) hat heute fordert die internationale Gemeinschaft auf, durch die mit den unterdrückten Menschen in Birma stehen.

Birma Demokratischen Concern (BDC) begrüßt ausdrücklich Aung San Suu Kyi geführte Nationale Liga für Demokratie (NLD) 's einstimmigen Beschluss am 29. März 2010, nicht wieder zu bestreiten Junta geplante Farce Register 2010 Wahlen Spielplan, die werden legitimiert wird Militärherrschaft in Burma.

Die sehr Militärregime hielt die Wahl im Jahr 1990 versprach, dass sie die Macht, die Wahl zu Essen Partei zu übertragen. Aung San Suu Kyi geführte Nationale Liga für Demokratie (NLD) gewann Erdrutschsieg.

Wir glauben, dass, wenn die internationalen Regierungen der Volksführer als legitime Regierung anerkennen, anstatt Junta, wird es tatsächlich werden unter Umgehung der UN-Sicherheitsrat als auch unter Umgehung der China oder Russland Regierungen mögliche Nutzung des Vetorechts im Sicherheitsrat, weil sie nicht beeinflussen können, einzelnen Ländern Entscheidungen unabhängig.

Birma Demokratischen Concern (BDC) möchte klare Botschaft an die führenden Politiker der Welt, die zu geben:

1. Nationale Liga für Demokratie (NLD), Sieger von 1990 einstimmige Wahl steht fest auf "Zeige-Gone-Daing" Erklärung von denen alle vier wichtigsten Prinzipien sind gleichermaßen wichtig, dass Bedürfnisse zu Ort, um einer echten nationalen Aussöhnung, dh, alle politischen Release haben Häftlinge, die statt echter Dialog, bis 2008 Verfassung überarbeiten und bis 1990 Wahlergebnis anzuerkennen.

2. Am 29. März 2010, gab Aung San Suu Kyi steht ihr deutlich sagen, "Sie akzeptiert keine 2008 Verfassung, weiß sie nicht akzeptieren, der Junta ungerechte und undemokratische politische Partei Kennzeichenrechts und sie verteidigt die" Shwe-Gone-Daing "Erklärung .

Weit weg von ihrer Heimat politisch instabil sind Myanmars Zuflucht an unseren Küsten.

Die Aufzeichnungen des Hochkommissars der Vereinten Nationen (UNHCR) zeigen, dass es 82.400 Flüchtlinge und Asylsuchende in Malaysia im Februar dieses Jahres.

Über 76.200 von ihnen sind aus Myanmar, bestehend aus rund 37.600 Chins, Rohingyas 18.200, 5.100 Muslime Myanmar, 3500 Mon, 3200 Kachins und andere ethnische Minderheiten einschließlich der birmanischen.

Unter den Narben der Unterdrückung haben sie in verschiedenen Teilen des Landes angesiedelt.

Eine Gruppe von Angehörigen Myanmar fordern eine Gemeinde 30 Minuten von Kuala Lumpur ihre Heimat, bis es sicher ist, in die Heimat zurückzukehren.

Die meisten von ihnen mieten Einheiten über shoplots und arbeiten in Fabriken, Geschäfte und Restaurants in der Nähe um sich zu ernähren.

Nachdem er dreimal ins Gefängnis für die Teilnahme an einer Demonstration vor der Botschaft Myanmars, gründete er die Organisation zu seinen Landsleuten zu helfen.

"Es gab viele Gruppen, für die anderen Ethnien, wie Chin, Kachin und Shan, aber da war keiner für die birmanische (auch einer der Ethnien). Ich hatte niemanden, um Hilfe zu wenden.

"Als ich eingerichtet BRO, machte ich mir sicher, dass ich nicht diskriminieren aufgrund der ethnischen Gruppen und Religion. Meine Tür ist offen für alle, die Hilfe brauchen ", sagte er.

"Ich habe Anrufe von Polizeistationen und Krankenhäusern, wenn Myanmar Staatsangehörigen wird inhaftiert sind oder an Krankenhäuser für die Behandlung ansprechen.

"Ich werde mich dann mit dem UNHCR arbeiten, um die Gefangenen freigelassen und manchmal habe ich an der Beerdigung Vorkehrungen für die Verstorbenen zu machen haben", sagte er.

Maung Hla reist zweimal im Monat zu BRO Mitglieder in anderen Staaten zu erfüllen. Als er die Straße trifft, bringt er neben kleinen Behältern von gebratenem Rindfleisch Gurke, gebratene Garnelen Gurke, gebratene getrockneter Fisch mit ihm an diejenigen, die einen Geschmack von Hause sehnen verkaufen.

Diese Produkte werden von der weiblichen Mitglieder in einer anderen Einheit, die auch als ihre Heimat verdoppelt hat.

Maung Hla Ehefrau, Moe Moe Khing, 39, Leiter der Frauen-und Kinderbereich, sagte BRO erhaltenen Mittel aus dem UNHCR zu diesem kleinen Projekt zu starten ist.

"Die Frauen haben etwas zu tun, um ihre Zeit, während die Gewinne zu besetzen sind, zurück zu den Gesundheits-und Bildungswesen Fonds geleitet," sagte sie.

In dieser Einheit mit Postern und Kalendern mit den Porträts von Pro-Oppositionsführerin Aung San Suu Kyi geschmückt, bereiten Mahlzeiten für die Bewohner rund 50 Studierende in die entgegengesetzte Einheit auf dem gleichen Stockwerk.

Die Kinder im Alter zwischen fünf und 17, nicht über ein offenes Feld zu spielen oder eine Kantine auf Leckerbissen und Brathähnchen zu kaufen.

Dieses kleine Gerät, mit einfachen Möbeln ausgestattet ist, wo sie Englisch lernen, Mathematik, Naturwissenschaften und EDV-Kenntnisse für eine monatliche Gebühr von RM40.

Nach vier Jahren in der Gemeinde, sagte Maung Hla BRO hatte freundschaftliche Beziehungen mit den Einheimischen gegründet.

"Ich erklärte ihm unsere Situation zu ihnen und sie zu verstehen. Einige von ihnen haben uns gebeten, ein Auge auf ihre Geschäfte, wenn sie weg sind, zu halten ", sagte er.

Gleichzeitig sind BRO Mitglieder aufgefordert, den lokalen Gewohnheiten und Lastern zu unterlassen, zu respektieren.

Moe Moe fügte hinzu: "Ich sagte ihnen, wir sind in einem fremden Land so zusammen, nicht gegeneinander kämpfen."

Die Myanmar Staatsangehörigen nur halten BRO Mitglied Karten vorübergehend, bis sie mit dem UNHCR und registrieren Sie erhalten Flüchtling Personalausweise.

Nyi Nyi Aung, a Burmese American has been framed and imprisoned in Burma by military regime.

Unlike the case of crazy John Yettaw who swam across the lake to the villa of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's residence because of which our precious National Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been put under house arrest again, there seem to be no one hearing the outcries of the Nyi Nyi Aung's wife as well as from Burma Democracy Movement calling for US Government to put pressure on Burmese junta to release him.

American government showed serious concerns for the release of John Yettaw and Jim Webb was swift to fly Burma securing the release of the White American, John Yettaw.

If Obama administration doesn't take timely action, it would give the impression that since Nyi Nyi Aung is a Burmese Asian American, Obama’s administration pays little attention on his freedom. One would bet that Obama will take action seriously if Nyi Nyi Aung were the White American like John Yettaw or Black American like himself, if necessary; he would rage war with junta.

The Burma Democratic Concern (BDC)'s media coordinator Buffalohair wrote that "It is sad to note that Burma’s struggle for democracy was kicked in the teeth by the very country they wanted to emulate in democracy."1

According to the letter of wife of Nyi Nyi Aung which appears in “The Strait Times”, she said – “to the President Obama and Secretary Clinton, my message is simple. Neither your words nor your actions show that you take my fiancé’s imprisonment seriously,” she wrote. “I beg you to stop ignoring his plight, and to help secure his release from this illegal and unjust imprisonment. Just as Nyi Nyi continues to live up to the oath we took to defend America, please, live up to the promise America made to defend us.”2

It is a sad story for a heart-breaking wife Wa Wa Kyaw and also it is true to say that she felt betrayed by the US government. We are very concerned that why Obama administration is so slow and so low in taking action to secure the release of the Burmese American citizen.

One might pray that there shouldn't be any discrimination in the United Sates or above all in the world at large.

In the letter sent to Aung San Suu Kyi's 63rd birthday, Obama'd stated that "If the junta continues its failure to protect the dignity, health and well-being of the Burmese people, the international community must be prepared to work harder toward effective coordinated action, including but not limited to action through the United Nations Security Council."

But, Obama has been so silence on Burma crisis since he came to power and I would like Obama to be aware that Burma crisis is in very critical situation. Military junta is planning to hold sham elections in 2010 in order to legitimise military rule in Burma. This is the time to translate words into actions for the Obama administration.

Obama you must speak up for Nyi Nyi Aung and you must speak up for Burma NOW!

Der UN-Gesandte für Birma, Tomás Ojea Quintana, hat der oppositionellen Nationalen Liga für Demokratie gesagt (NLD) Stellvertreter Tin Oo, dass er erwartet, dass mit Aung San Suu Kyi treffen, bevor er seinen Besuch schließt morgen.

Burma: U Tin Oo, Leader of 1990 Election Wining Party Released

Today NLD's leader, Aung San Suu Kyi's very close comrade, U Tin Oo is now released. He is the man of action and Burmese people believe in his leadership. U Tin Oo earned deep respects and high regards in the Burma's military. This is the reason why junta put him under house arrest or in prison most of the time. He is the ex-commander in chief of the military and he earned "Thura Title" for his bravery in the battle which would equivalent to Victoria Cross.

U Tin Oo is the legitimate elected leader of Burma according to the 1990 election held by the very junta who is ruling Burma today. He shouldn’t be in the prison or under house arrest at the first place.

If the military regime truly wanted to see national reconciliation, they must release all the political prisoners unconditionally and immediately as well as they must grantee that they won’t find any excuses to do illegitimate arrest again. This would be very very basic minimum benchmark junta must do.

U Tin Oo’s party, National League for Democracy, the victor of 1990 election clearly stated their position in “Shwe-Gone-Daing” declaration that need to place in order to have true national reconciliation in Burma, i.e. to

1. Release all the political prisoners
2. Review 2008 Constitution
3. Allow to reopen NLD and ethnic nationalities offices
4. Recognise 1990 election result
5. Take place political dialogue

Burma constitution that underpins the election is deeply flawed

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) today welcomes the British Government stands on Burmese junta’s 2008 constitution and planned 2010 election.

Written in the Hansard, Mr. Ivan Lewis, the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office said that “The constitution that underpins the election is deeply flawed. It is designed to perpetuate military rule in Burma. As long as the elections are contested on the current constitution, whatever the outcome they cannot be recognised by the international community.” And he went on saying that “It must be clear that without the release of political prisoners and a commitment to an inclusive process in respect of opposition and ethnic groups, the forthcoming elections in Burma will not be recognised by the international community-indeed, they will be entirely illegitimate.”

Mr. Lewis said that “We continue to call for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi. We have made it clear that the elections cannot be credible if political prisoners are not free and able to engage in an inclusive process. We have lobbied China, India and Association of South East Nations members to recognise that only free and fair elections will lead to a stable and secure Burma. We support the UN Secretary-General's continued engagement. Tough EU sanctions will remain in place in the absence of any progress. It is equally important that the entire international community gives a united response to any election outcome. If there were any suggestion that some members of the international community attempted in any way to legitimise that outcome, that would be very dangerous in terms of strengthening the regime. What we seek to achieve is maximum unity of response on the basis that the election will be fought on a flawed constitution.”

Myo Thein, the Director at the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) said, “We are very glad to learn British Government’s clear stand on democratisation of Burma and significantly they do not playing into the junta’s illegal 2010 election. We hope that other democratic countries around the world would follow the lead of British Government listening to the genuine voices of people of Burma.”

Junta plotted the ploy and imprisoned Aung San Suu Kyi which is tantamount to turning back on dialogue and ultimately national reconciliation.

With reference to United Nations’ responsibility on democratisation of Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi said that “United Nations should demand the military regime to do national reconciliation first before holding the 2010 election. Otherwise the elections will be illegal, unjust and lack of credibility if it is held before facilitating to take place the national reconciliation”.

A tremendous responsibility rests upon the United Nations Organization to a far better end, and we are looking for a more positive and bolder lead of the United Nations as military regime is trying to nullify the results of the 1990 elections by planning to hold sham election in 2010 even though National League for Democracy (NLD) clearly stated their position in the “Shwe-Gone-Dine” declaration that need to place in order to have genuine national reconciliation in Burma.

Khin Maung Win, the Director at the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) said, “The vital issue here is that 1990 election results are still yet to be honoured and the planned elections will be held in accord with 2008 constitution. The essence of the 2008 Constitution is to guarantee impunity indefinitely and the 2010 election will implement it. Moreover, it is systematically designed to entrench military rule in Burma.”

U Tint Swe Thi Ha, the Patron at the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) said, “As long as military regime is in power in one form or another, Burma will not be a peaceful state and moreover it will threaten regional stability leading to destabilizing of peace in the world at large since junta has the ambition of possessing nuclear weapons.”

The All Burma Monks Organization (ABMO) has declared Aung San Oo, brother of Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi as unethical and rejected his association with Buddhism for not withdrawing a case filed against his detained younger sister.

The ABMO, in their statement, said as Aung San Oo has failed to reply to them by the January 31 deadline they have given him, they would impose religious sanction, known as ‘Pattani Kuzanakan’, an act of boycott by the monks, on him and his wife Le Le Nwe Thein.

The secret monk’s organization sent a letter to him on January 24, asking him to withdraw the case he had filed against his sister, Aung San Suu Kyi. The monks said, filing an inheritance case on the estate and filing the letter of administration of this inheritance are tantamount to harassing Suu Kyi and attempting to evict her from the house, which they interpret as attack against the people.

Pattani Kuzanakan, in Buddhist canon, means imposing boycott against the offender and prohibits any monks from accepting offertories and preaching sermon to the offender and literally outcast them from the Buddhist society.

But the monks said, they are willing to withdraw all religious sanctions against them if Aung San Oo withdraws the cases and objections filed against his sister, Aung San Suu Kyi under various laws. Of the two living children of Burma’s Independence architect Bogyoke (General) Aung San, Aung San Oo, an engineer by profession, has close ties with the regime, contrary to his younger sister. Despite his US citizenship, he is believed to own a plot in the ancient city of Pagan. Le Le Nwe Thein is widely believed to harbour political ambitious.

An abbot from Rangoon Division Sangha Maha Nayaka said that five monks can represent the entire monks and call for Pattani Kuzanakan. And as the offenders are imposed religious sanctions they can no longer worship the three Buddhist Ratna (jewels) – Lord Buddha, his Dhama (teaching) and the Sangha (monks) – thus they have no opportunity of attaining good merits in the Sansara.

“Buddhists usually invite monks to their religious ceremonies and funerals. If someone is an outcast from the Buddhist society, these people will lose all their religious rights,” Abbot Bahhanta Kawthala said.

After the brutal crackdown on monk-led protest in September 2007 by the military regime, monks at home and abroad have called for Pattani Kuzanakan against Senior Gen Than Shwe and his family members, senior military officers and the perpetrators involved in the violent crackdown.

However, the Burmese Military Generals led by Snr Gen Than Shwe are still seen continuing perform religious activities including hoisting of umbrellas at the pagodas and offering food to abbots and monks.

“Whatever they [the Generals] do in their religious activities under either reverence or pretensions or under mandatory pressures for political reasons, offenders who are being boycotted or of whom the Pattani Kuzanakan has provoked cannot gain good merits and their efforts would be in vain,” U Sandaw Batha Sara said, a Central Committee member of the International Monks Organization (Sasana Moli), told Mizzima.

In 1990, monks in Burma’s ancient capital of Mandalay declared the Pattani Kuzanakan against the ruling government, and it was joined by over 20,000 monks. Authorities, in order to subdue the protest, arrested several monks.

According to the Thailand-based ‘Assistance Association Political Prisoners-Burma’ (AAPP-B), over 250 monks are still lingering in prisons across the country.

Die Karen Frauen Organisation hat am Dienstag in einer Presseerklärung die Regierung Thailands gebeten die mehr als 3000 Flüchtlinge,größtenteils Frauen und Kinder, nicht gewaltsam nach Burma zu senden.
Nach Angaben der Organisation sind die Karen aus der Region Ler Per Her vor Kämpfen mit der Burmesischen Armee letzten Juni geflohen.
Den Flüchtlingen war ein zeitliches Aufenthalts Recht in verschiedenen Orten der Provinz Tak, Nord Thailand zugesichert worden.
Aber die Thailändische Armee hat wiederholt die Flüchtlinge aufgefordert nach Hause zu gehen, ihnen erzählt sie müssten das Land bis 15.Februar verlassen haben.Es ist nicht klar warum der Termin der Rückführung Mitte Februar ist.
Einige Flüchtlinge wurden bereits gezwungen die Grenze zu überqueren und in Vorbereitung auf die Ankunft der restlichen Flüchtlinge ihre Dörfer wieder aufzubauen,was von der Karen Organisation als “sehr gefährlich” eingestuft wurde.
“Die Flüchtlinge leben jetzt in einem steten Angstzustand vor der Auslieferung in ein stark vermintes Landgebiet ,indem der Konflikt jederzeit wieder ausbrechen könne.”
“Wir bitten die Thai Regierung ihre Menschlichkeit zu zeigen und die Auslieferung zu stoppen und ihnen Sicherheit auf thailändischem Boden zu gewähren.”so Blooming Night Zan ein führendes Mitglied der Karen Organisation.

Global Action for Burma:UNSC muss die 2008 Verfassung der Junta als NULL und Nichtig erklären

Das Ziel dieser 2008 Verfassung ist einzig und allein dem Militärregime in Birma eine dauerhafte Kontrolle über das Land zu sichern und zu legitimieren.

Die Junta, die über das Land herrscht, hielt die Wahl 1990, in der die Partei von Aung San Suu Kyi ,die Nationale Liga für die Demokratie (NLD) ,einen Landes weiten Sieg erzielte. Doch bis heute ist das Ergebnis dieser Wahl von der Junta nicht anerkannt. Anstatt das Wahlergebnis von 1990- anzuerkennen, entwarf die Junta die Verfassung 2008 um ihre militärische Position in Birma zu legitimieren und plant jetzt eine neue schändliche Wahl 2010 zu halten.
Aung San Suu Kyi und ihre Partei,die Nationale Liga für die Demokratie (NLD), die eindeutigen Sieger der 1990 Wahl, setzten klar ihre Positionen in der “Shwe-Gone-Dine”,einem Dokument veröffentlicht im April 2009, fest, die erfüllt werden müssen um eine nationalen Übereinstimmung zu erreichen:

Freilassung aller politischen Gefangenen
Nachprüfen der-2008-Verfassung
Wiedereröffnung der Parteibüros der NLD und der ethnischen Nationalitäten

Die Junta hat die Stimmen der legitimen Führer und Menschen Birmas ignoriert und hat einseitig entschieden, um so die militärische Zwangsherrschaft in Birma dauerhaft zu verschanzen. Die geplante 2010-Wahl der Junta ist nur eine Scharade, entworfen, um die militärische Zwangsherrschaft innerhalb Birmas zu legitimieren.
Die Junta,überzeugt von ihrem Sieg, hat bereits Pläne für nach der Wahl gemacht, die klar aufzeigen, dass diese Wahl eine Täuschung ist. Offensichtlich wird es keine Notwendigkeit der Stimmenzählung geben.
Bevor wir die vorgeschlagene 2010-Wahl der Junta angehen, müssen wir auf die Gültigkeit der kürzlich angenommenen Verfassung eingehen . Entworfen von der Junta ist dieses Dokument alles andere als glaubwürdig oder rechtsstaatlich. Nichts was dieses Dokument representiert ist frei und gerecht.

Die Internationale Gemeinschaft sollte sich des hoffnungslos, unvereinbaren Inhalts der Verfassung von 2008 bewusst sein. Das Referendum ist unter zweifelhaften Bedingungen einschließlich Erpressung und manipulierten Stimmzettel entstanden.
Wir würden gern besondere Aufmerksamkeit auf diese Punkte lenken:
Die Junta gab sich selbst Amnestie von den Verbrechen gegen die Menschheit, die es überall in Birma während ihrer Schreckensherrschaft begangen hat.
Das Militärische Regime erhält systematisch 25 % der parlamentarischen Sitze.
Der militärischen Oberbefehlshaber besitzt absolute Autorität das Parlament jederzeit aufzulösen und kann somit effektiv die Stimme des Volkes neutralisieren.

Diese 25 % der parlamentarischen Sitze für die militärische Junta zeigen die ungezähmte, autoritären Kontrolle. Die selbst ernannte Amnestie für ihre Verbrechen gegen die Menschheit war nicht der Wille der birmanischen Menschen, die unter dem Regime leiden. Die Legitimation des kriminellen Regimes war auch nicht der Wille der Bevölkerung. Das ist für sie unverständlich und völlig unannehmbar.Das Wesentliche der 2008 Verfassung- diese soll eine Garantie der Straffreiheit auf unbestimmte Zeit sichern- und diese 2010 Wahl wird diese Garantie der unbestimmten Straffreiheit gegen Menschenrechte garantieren. Deshalb verlangen wir nach der Annullierung von Birmas 2008-Verfassung durch den UN-Sicherheitsrat.

Frankreich reagierte mit der Entschlossenheit auf das weitere Verurteilen von Aung San Suu Kyi am 11. August 2009, und die Europäische Union erhärtete seine Sanktionen.
Frankreich fordert die sofortige Freilassung Aung San Suu und aller Burmesischen politischen Gefangenen. Das ist eine wesentliche Bedingung für die Vertrauenswürdigkeit der geplanten Wahlen in diesem Jahr. Wollen wir nicht vergessen, dass Aung San Suu Kyi 14 der letzten 20 Jahre ihrer Freiheit beraubt wurde, und dass nach Schätzungen die Zahl der inhaftierten politischen Gefangenen bei 2000 liegt.

Frankreich würde gerne konkrete Gesten der birmanischen Regierung sehen die zur Unterstützung des nationalen Versöhnungsprozesses beitragen, der die Opposition und die ethnischen Minderheiten einschließen würde. Das ist besonders dringend vor den angesetzten Wahlen 2010.

"Wenn die Mediaberichte richtig sind, sind alle Hoffnungen für Daw Aung San Suu Kyi,s frühere Entlassung zerstört", sagte Nyan Win.

Eine Freilassung im November würde für die jetzt 64-jährige Friedensnobelpreisträgerin jedoch zu spät für die im Oktober erwartete Wahl kommen. Anfang letzten Monat genehmigte das thailändische Kabinett das Projekt mit dem Ziel der Entwicklung einer Grenze Wirtschaftszone in Mae Sot Kreis Tak Provinz, an der Grenze Myawaddy Gemeinde in Birma. Das erste Projekt ist mit dem zweiten Thailand-Burma Friendship Bridge am Moei Fluß zu errichten, um den steigenden Bedarf für den Transport von Waren über die Grenze gerecht zu werden. Darüber hinaus würde es dienen, das System der Ost-West-Korridor Wirtschaft. Der Bebauungsplan umfasst Gebäude Special Economic Zones, Logistikzentren und Lagerhäusern in der Nähe der Grenze von Mae Sot Bezirk. Die wirtschaftliche Zone in der Provinz Tak Projekt wurde vor drei Jahren mit dem Ziel der Förderung von Handel gestartet und es wurde erwartet, dass Wanderarbeitnehmer die großen Städte wie Bangkok oder in der Nähe Provinzen durch die Schaffung von mehr Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe der Grenze zu stoppen. Nach Angaben des Ministeriums für Handel, im Jahr 2008 entfielen auf den Handel an der Grenze zwischen Thailand und Burma 144.000 Millionen Baht [4363 Mio. US $], in Myawaddy allein. Mae Sot einen Anteil von etwa 20.000 Millionen Baht [606 Mio. US $]. Es wird erwartet, dass die neuen ökonomischen Zone schieben würde es bis zu 40.000 Mio. Baht [1.202 Mio. US $], mit Ausnahme von Einnahmen aus Steuern und anderen Investitionen.

Nach neuen Angaben werden 4 neue Grenzübergänge von Thai Seite errichtet. Ban Huai Ton Nun (Mae Hong Son), Ban Kao Phu Nam Ron (Kanchanaburi), Chedi Sam Ong (Drei-Pagoden-Pass in Kanchanaburi) und Singkorn Pass (Prachuap Khiri Khan).

In seiner jährlichen Ansprache zum burmesischen Unabhängigkeitstag erklärte der General, seine siebenstufige "Roadmap zur Demokratie" sei die einzige Möglichkeit für eine Transition.

"Das ganze Volk muss korrekte Entscheidungen treffen", sagte der Machthaber. 2008 hatte das Regime die Bevölkerung in einem umstrittenen Plebiszit über eine neue Verfassung abstimmen lassen. Diese zementiert die absolute Vorrangstellung des Militärs, das seit 1962 fast ununterbrochen an der Macht ist.

Seit 1990 ist in Burma nicht mehr gewählt worden. Damals errang die nationalen Liga für Demokratie unter der Führung von Friedensnobelpreisträgerin Aung San Suu Kyi einen Erdrutsch-Sieg. Dieser wurde vom Regime nie anerkannt. Bei den für 2010 geplanten Wahlen darf die unter Hausarrest stehende Oppositionsführerin nicht antreten, weil sie die Witwe eines Ausländers, des britischen Historikers und Orientalisten Michael Aris, ist.

Burma, das 1886 nach dem Sturz seines letzten Königs Thibaw durch die Briten mit Britisch-Indien vereinigt worden war, wurde am 4. Jänner 1948 unter Ministerpräsident U Nu eine unabhängige Republik und trat aus dem Commonwealth aus. Der Führer der Befreiungsbewegung und Nationalheld General Aung San war zuvor einem Mordanschlag zum Opfer gefallen. Er war der Vater von Aung San Suu Kyi.

Ein Gericht in Rangun hat am Mittwoch drei Mitglieder der NLD Oppositionspartei zu je drei Jahren Haft verurteilt.

Die Angeklagten sind Mitglieder des humanitären Komitee der größten Oppositionspartei in Burma, der Nationale Liga für Demokratie (NLD), und sind zu Arbeitslager und Haft durch das Insein Township Gericht verurteilt worden.
Shwe Joe, resident von Hlaing Township, Sein Hlaing, resident von San Chaung Township, and Ma Cho von Ahlone Township wurden angeklagt der " Kommunikation mit NLD Mitstreitern im Ausland " und eine " Geldspende in Höhe von 15 million kyat (USD 15,000) von einem Mann namens Sein Hlaing angenommen zu haben."
Die Angeklagten bestritten alle Vorwürfe.

Product: Burmese rubies are famous for their distinctive dark "pigeon's blood" color. Both the United States and the European Union ban Burmese gems, but outside groups estimate the junta still reaped almost $300 million from rubies in the 2006 fiscal year.

Casualties: The brutal Burmese junta, which earns much of its hard currency from the sale of gems, holds direct stakes in many of the mines and conducts official auctions to augment the profits made from illegal smuggling. At the mines themselves, child labor and diseases such as HIV/AIDS are common.

Das Jahr 2010 soll ein „Jahr der Hoffnung“ für die Gesellschaft von Burma werden. Das sagte der Erzbischof von Yangon der Nachrichtenagentur fides in einem Interview. Er wünsche sich, dass die lang erwarteten Wahlen eine „Ära der Versöhnung, des Friedens und des Wohlstands vor allem für die künftigen Generationen“ brächten. Die Menschen in Burma litten noch immer unter den Zerstörungen des großen Wirbelsturms im Mai 2008. Die Kirche habe durch die Caritas in Tausenden Fällen Unterkunft und Bildung ermöglicht. Das solle auch in diesem Jahr so sein, sagt der Bischof. Nach Einschätzung des römischen Pressedienstes zenit versagt die Militärregierung „in der Bildung in und in der Gesundheitsvorsorge total“. Ein Gericht in Burma hat eine Journalistin zu 20 Jahren Gefängnis verurteilt. Die 25-jährige Videoreporterin Hla Hla Win war im vergangenen September nach dem Besuch eines buddhistischen Klosters in Pakokku im Norden des Landes festgenommen worden.Die junge Journalistin arbeitete unter anderem für den in Norwegen ansässigen Fernsehsender Democratic Voice of Burma. Wie die Organisationen «Reporter ohne Grenzen» und der burmesische Medienverband bekanntgaben, fiel das Urteil bereits am 31. Dezember.
Ein Begleiter wurde zu 26 Jahren Haft verurteilt. Von den Behörden gab es keine Bestätigung.
Bittere Aussicht auf Wahlen
Die beiden Organisationen äusserten sich empört über das «äusserst harte» Urteil, das wenig Hoffnung aufkommen lasse, dass die für dieses Jahr geplanten Wahlen in Burma frei sein würden.
In dem von einer Militärjunta autoritär geführten asiatischen Land sollen in diesem Jahr Wahlen stattfinden, ein genauer Termin steht aber noch nicht fest.

Detained since September, she was already given a seven-year sentence in October.
“People had been expecting signs of an opening and goodwill gestures from the military junta in this election year, but this extremely severe sentence on a 25-year-old video maker and the junta chief’s recent threatening comments leave little hope that the elections will be free,” the two organisations said. “We are outraged that this young woman has been given a 20-year jail term.”
The two organisations added: “The very dangerous work carried out by Burma’s video reporters, made famous by the documentary Buma VJ, is crucial for the dissemination of independent, propaganda-free information both domestically and abroad. ASEAN and the rest of the international community should make press freedom one of the conditions for recognising the 2010 elections.”
A senior representative of the Oslo-based Democratic Voice of Burma told Reporters Without Borders that the sentence imposed on Hla Hla Win was “unjust” because all she did was “gather information about the situation in Burma, nothing more.”
At least 13 journalists and bloggers are currently detained in Burma, most of them in very harsh conditions.
The 20-year sentence was imposed on Hla Hla Win by a court in Pakokku (30 km north of the central city of Bagan) on 31 December for an alleged violation of the Electronic Act. A person who was accompanying her at the time of her arrest, Myint Naing, was given a 26-year sentence. The exile media Mizzima said Pakokku-based lawyers were reluctant to defend them in a case of a political nature.
Hla Hla Win was arrested on 11 September after visiting a monastery in Pakokku (Magwe Division) and was given a seven-year sentence the following month under the Export Import Act for using an illegally imported motorcycle. In all, she will now have to serve a combined sentence of 26 years in prison.
Following her arrest, she went on hunger struck for several days in protest against her detention and had to be hospitalised because her health deteriorated rapidly.
Born in 1984, Hla Hla Min studied economics and then began working as a teacher.
Ever since the September 2007 Saffron Revolution, the security forces have been cracking down on Burmese who send photos and video abroad to exile news media and opposition groups. Around 20 journalists and bloggers have been arrested since then by police or soldiers.
In an independence day speech yesterday, junta chief Gen. Than Shwe asked his compatriots to make the “correct choice” in the elections due to be held this year. So far, the authorities have given no kind of guarantee that citizen journalists and journalists employed by foreign news media will be able to work during the elections. As things stand, they continue to face prison sentences under article 33 (A) of the Electronic Law if they use the Internet to send information abroad.

Wegen Verbreitung von Staatsgeheimnissen hat die burmesische Militärjunta einen früheren Armeeoffizier und einen hohen Beamten des Außenministeriums zum Tod verurteilen lassen. Die Urteile stehen im Zusammenhang mit Beziehungen Burmas zu Nordkorea und einem geheimen Tunnelsystem.

Der Ex-Offizier Win Naing Kyaw und der Ministeriums-Beamte Thura Kyaw wurden am Donnerstag von einem Sondertribunal in der Hauptstadt Rangun zum Tode verurteilt. Ein weiterer Mitarbeiter des burmesischen Außenamts, Pyan Sein, wurde zu 15 Jahren Haft verurteilt. Außerdem soll es zahlreiche Festnahmen im Außen- und im Verteidigungsministerium gegeben haben.

Besuch in Nordkorea, geheime Tunnels

Laut der Exil-Webseite Irawaddy sollen die Männer Informationen über einen Besuch der "Nummer drei" der Junta, Generalstabschef Thura Shwe Mann, in Pjöngjang weitergegeben haben. Wie die britische BBC berichtet, wurden sie auch schuldig gesprochen, Details über ein "geheimes Tunnelsystem" verbreitet zu haben, das Nordkorea in Burma gebaut haben soll.

Fotos der Tunnels waren im Juni vorigen Jahres von burmesischen Exil-Aktivisten veröffentlicht worden. Die Bilder hatten Fragen nach einer Verbindung der Militärjunta zur Atommacht Nordkorea aufgeworfen. Im August hatten australische Medien über eine vereinbarte intensive Militärkooperation zwischen Nordkorea und Burma insbesondere im Nuklearbereich berichtet.

Sprengstoff-Attentat 1983

Burma hatte erst 2006 nach über zwei Jahrzehnten wieder diplomatische Beziehungen mit Nordkorea hergestellt. Im Oktober 1983, nach einem spektakulären Sprengstoffanschlag des nordkoreanischen Geheimdienstes in Rangun, hatte Burma die Beziehungen abgebrochen. Das Attentat zielte auf den damaligen südkoreanischen Staatschef General Chun Doo-hwan und seine Delegation, die das Mausoleum des burmesischen Nationalhelden General Aung San in Burmas Rangun besuchte.

Am 1. Januar 2010 wurde das Umsiedlungsprojekt für burmesische Flüchtlinge, die zur Zeit auf der Müllkippe von Mae Sot (Thailand) leben, gestartet. Das Projekt entsteht in der Zusammenarbeit von The Best Friend und Peoples Partner for Development and Democracy (PPDD).

Etwa 300 Menschen (68 Familien) leben zur Zeit unter bedrückenden Bedingungen auf der Müllkippe von Mae Sot, einer thailändischen Stadt nahe der burmesischen Grenze. Diese Flüchtlinge flohen vor dem brutalen Militärregime in Burma, haben nun weder Arbeitserlaubnis, noch Aufenthaltsgenehmigung und sind illegale Flüchtlinge. Sie verdienen sich auf der Müllkippe ein dürftiges Einkommen durch das Einsammeln und Wiederverwerten von Plastik und anderen Abfällen.

Sieben dieser Familien sind nun am Umsiedlungsprojekt beteiligt. 14 Erwachsene und 18 Kinder (zwischen sechs Monaten und 10 Jahren alt) werden umgesiedelt auf ein kürzlich gemietetes Grundstück mit grundlegenden infrastrukturellen Anlagen wie Häusern, Toiletten und Trinkwasser. Darüber hinaus nehmen die Familien an Fortbildungen und beruflichen Entwicklungslehrgängen teil zu Themen wie Landwirtschaft, Handwerk, Nähern, Gesundheit, und Kinderfürsorge. Hintergrundinformationen über The Best Friend

The Best Friend wurde 1999 in Burma von den burmesischen Mönchen Ashin Issariya und Ashin Sopaka gegründet. Die Gesellschaft für bedrohte Völker (GfbV) hat am Mittwoch vor der drohenden Abschiebung von 9.000 muslimischen Rohingya-Flüchtlingen aus Bangladesch in ihre Heimat Burma gewarnt. "Den Flüchtlingen droht Gefahr für Leib und Leben, wenn sie nach Burma zurückgebracht werden", sagte der GfbV-Asienreferent Ulrich Delius in Göttingen. Die Außenminister
Burmas und Bangladeschs hatten sich am Dienstag auf die baldige
Repatriierung der Flüchtlinge verständigt. "Dies ist der zweite schwere
Rückschlag für den Flüchtlingsschutz in Südostasien innerhalb von nur zwei
Tagen", kritisierte Delius. "Hier werden international geltende Regeln zur
Unterstützung Zufluchtsuchender demontiert und grundlegende Menschenrechte mit Füßen getreten." Am vergangenen Montag hatte
Thailand 4.000 Hmong-Flüchtlinge nach Laos deportiert.

In Bangladesch leben nach offiziellen Angaben rund 28.000 Angehörige der muslimischen Minderheit der Rohingya in drei Lagern. In dem Land halten sich jedoch ohne legale Registrierung mindestens 200.000 Rohingya auf. Seit 1992 sind mehrfach zehntausende von ihnen aus dem burmesischen Bundesstaat Arakhan vor religiöser Verfolgung und der Aberkennung ihrer Bürgerrechte in das benachbarte Bangladesch geflohen. Viele der Flüchtlinge wurden im Laufe der Jahre gegen ihren Willen unter Mitwirkung des Hochkommissariats für Flüchtlinge der Vereinten Nationen (UNHCR) nach Burma zurückgeführt.

Systematisch werden Angehörige der Minderheit, die von Grenzsoldaten
Bangladeschs bei der Flucht in das Nachbarland ertappt werden, den
burmesischen Behörden übergeben. So wurden 75 Flüchtlinge alleine seit
dem 22. Dezember 2009 an Burma ausgeliefert, nachdem sie an der
Grenze gestellt worden waren. Seit Jahren bemüht sich Bangladesch auch
um die Rückführung der in den Lagern lebenden und offiziell als Flüchtlinge registrierten Rohingya. Burma hatte ihre Rücknahme bislang verweigert. Denn Rohingya werden nicht als burmesische Staatsbürger angesehen. Nun hat Burma ihrer Rückführung jedoch zugestimmt, um die in den´vergangenen Monaten angewachsenen Spannungen mit Bangladesch´abzubauen.

Dort werden ihnen grundlegende Bürgerrechte verweigert. Als Muslime
werden sie nicht nur in der Ausübung ihres Glaubens behindert. Sie
bekommen auch keine Pässe, werden selbst innerhalb des Landes in ihrer
Reisefreiheit eingeschränkt, dürfen nicht heiraten, bekommen keine
Anstellung im öffentlichen Dienst und werden immer wieder Opfer von
Zwangsarbeit, Enteignungen und anderer Übergriffen der Sicherheitskräfte.
Mehr als 3.000 burmesische Soldaten sind zurzeit dafür eingesetzt, einen
Zaun entlang der 320 Kilometer langen Grenze zwischen beiden Staaten zu errichten. So soll verhindert werden, dass noch mehr Rohingya die Flucht´ergreifen.
